About this inspector

Alan has had a long career in the building industry that has included 25 years working as a self-employed builder and he holds advanced building qualifications. Alan spent six years in construction management and three years working for a large housing company. Alan’s experience in the building industry means he has the knowledge, and the understanding of construction practices and materials to help people in his Building Inspector role to purchase a house that is ‘safe and sound’. When not inspecting buildings, Alan enjoys hanging out with his family and friends. He plays squash, tennis, badminton and enjoys a range of outdoor pursuits including boating, fishing, diving, swimming, hunting, motorbikes and travel. Furthermore, Alan is fully qualified and can also support with:

• Meth testing
• Asbestos surveying and testing
• Property condition assessments
