If you are a landlord or property manager, look no further than Betta Property Compliance. Our team provide comprehensive property compliance services including:

  • Healthy homes checks
  • Meth testing
  • Lead testing
  • Rental property inspections

Otago Healthy Homes assessment services

Our local Otago inspectors can provide a full comprehensive audit of your property. Furthermore, we outline the minimum standards and what needs to be done to fix issues with;

  • Heating
  • Insulation
  • Ventilation
  • Moisture ingress (dampness) and drainage
  • Draught stopping

The Residential Tenancies (Healthy Homes Standards) Regulations 2019 became law on 1st July 2019. The terms outlined require all rental homes to address and fix issues with cold, damp, drainage and draughts in rental properties.

The Healthy Homes standards aim to improve the quality for rental properties so that the nearly 1.2 million New Zealanders that rent in New Zealand have warmer, dryer homes.

The Healthy Homes standards aim to close the quality gap between rental properties and owner-occupied homes, so the nearly 600,000 households that rent in New Zealand have warmer, drier places to call home.
